'timing lights' that the negative is printed at, representing
the numerical value of the red, blue and green lights used
in the printing process. These printing lights are referred
to by their complements: yellow, magenta, and cyan.
Z
Zero Cut:
A method of preparing
A and B rolls for printing in which the original shots overlap
several frames or more. The change from one roll to another
to match the edited workprint is done automatically by the
printer. (Film Editing)
Zoom: An
optical effect in which the image rapidly grows larger or
smaller as though the camera is moving closer or away from
its subject.
